Day 1 and a half

at the Sydney Harbour Bridge

trying to figure out the remote on my camera

requisite Dancer's Pose

Lisa and I headed to SFO on the evening of Dec 26 for our 14hr flight to Sydney.  Didn't seem too bad after a glass of prosecco and an Ambien, my evening sleeping ritual of choice.  Awoke on the other side of the world two days later realizing we had about 8hrs to kill before our flight to New Zealand that evening.  With that, we checked our bags at the airport and took a train to Sydney Harbor.  Spent a few hours walking around the Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, some Acro at the Botanical Gardens, and lunch near The Rocks neighboorhood.  Took a quick boat cruise to see the city from the water, then made our way back to the airport for our evening flight to Christchurch.  Lisa and I confirmed that we'd be dismayed without our airline status, allowing us fast check-ins, extra bags, and "Babydoll" Sav Blanc in the pre-boarding lounge.  Made it to CC hotel by midnight and settled in for a short rest before the next days adventure.  All in all a good day.
